Immerse yourself in the history of Corfu with an informative and entertaining half-day tour of this Mediterranean island's most stunning landmarks.
Corfu is more lush and verdant than most Greek Islands, and after meeting your guide at the dock, you will be able to see how beautiful it is as you drive through Corfu Town and its sprawling suburbs.

Nestled on the scenic slopes of Gastouri, the Achillion Palace Gardens provide a tranquil and picturesque escape. Built in the 19th century, these lush gardens are part of the grand Achillion Palace, which was once the summer retreat of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sisi). The gardens are an exquisite example of classical landscaping, with panoramic views of Corfu's countryside, crystal-clear seas, and surrounding hills

Your day continues with a scenic drive to Palace of Archangel Michael and St. George. The palace is a stunning historical site that showcases the island's rich cultural heritage. Located in the heart of Corfu Town, this neoclassical palace was originally built between 1819 and 1824 under British rule, designed by the architect George Whitmore. The palace is home to the Museum of Asian Art, which houses a remarkable collection of Asian artifacts, including pieces from China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. The museum's exhibits span several centuries and provide a unique insight into the artistic traditions of the Far East.

As you head back to Corfu Town, you will stop at Kanoni, named after the original gun placed here in 1810 by the French to disrupt the blockade by the British. From here, you will enjoy views of the twin islets of Vlachernae and Mouse Island.

There will be a brief stop for refreshments before you tour Corfu Town, which is a mixture of the medieval and the modern. Pause for a photo of the Old Fortress which dominates the town and the pretty Esplanade Square which attracts many visitors. At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to continue your independent exploration of this quaint town before making your own way back to the ship.
