What you will visit:
Panoramic Island Drive
Prince Edward Island is renowned for its gently rolling countryside, fertile farmland and small communities set amid a landscape shaped by agriculture and the sea. Charlottetown, the provincial capital and birthplace of Canadian Confederation, combines historic architecture with a lively waterfront, while beyond the city, pastoral scenery and rural communities reveal the island's quieter character.
Confederation Bridge
Confederation Bridge spans the Northumberland Strait, linking Prince Edward Island with New Brunswick. Opened in 1997, the eight-mile-long bridge is the world's longest crossing over ice-covered water. Its sweeping, curved structure was engineered to withstand the challenging winds and winter conditions of the Northumberland Strait.
What you will see along the way:
Prince Edward Island's rural landscape unfolds in a patchwork of cultivated fields, family farms and gently rolling countryside. The island's distinctive red soil appears throughout the agricultural landscape, while wooded areas, small communities and glimpses of the coast add variety to the drive. Traditional farmhouses, barns and church steeples further reflect the rural character of Canada's smallest province.

Port Borden Front Range Light
Built in 1917, this historic square, tapered lighthouse once served as a navigational aid for vessels approaching Borden's former ferry terminal. Decommissioned in 1997, the lighthouse stands near Confederation Bridge, providing an appealing setting for photographs of two landmarks from different eras of the island's transportation history.
Victoria Range Light
Set in the historic seaport village of Victoria-by-the-Sea, the Victoria Range Light remains an operating lighthouse overlooking the Northumberland Strait. The lighthouse reflects the village's long maritime heritage and its past as a busy seaport during the golden era of sailing ships. Its waterfront location and traditional lighthouse profile provide a distinctly Prince Edward Island coastal setting for photographs.
