Designed for those who wish to see the sights with little or no walking, this two-hour tour is a great way to get acquainted with the colorful sights and sounds of Ceuta. Perched on Morocco's north coast across the Strait of Gibraltar, Ceuta is one of the only European territories on the African continent.

After boarding your air-conditioned coach at the pier you'll embark on a scenic drive to the Mirador de Isabel II viewpoint. Step out, stretch your legs and look out over the panoramic views of the city, rolling green hills, the Mediterranean Sea, the strait of Gibraltar and Monte Hacho, a low mountain that overlooks the city.

Photos taken, you'll rejoin your coach and continue your tour. Settled in the 5th century B.C. by the Carthaginians, Ceuta is a quilt of countless conquerors including the Romans, Vandals, Visigoths, and Byzantines before Spain fell under Christian rule. Remnants of its illustrious past are on display as your driver meanders his way through Ceuta's busy streets.

One of Cueta's iconic sights is the Royal City Walls that were built by the Portuguese in the 1540s, and strengthened by the Spanish between the 1690s and 1730s. Cited as a Spanish Property of Cultural Interest, the walls comprise a fortress complete with parapets and moats.

Another photo stop awaits you at Plaza de Africa, one of the most popular and photogenic spots in the city. Once you disembark you'll have 20 minutes to stroll, people watch, or take that perfect photo of the plaza's memorable monuments such as the lovely 16th century Sanctuary of Our Lady of Africa Cathedral - the most revered religious icon in the city. Nearby sits the Palace of the Assembly. Built between 1914 and 1927 by King Alphonse XIII and Victoria Eugenie, the grand building is used as Ceuta's town hall. In the center of the square is the 42-foot-tall monument to the Fallen in the War of Africa 1859 to 1860.

For picture perfect views over the Strait of Gibraltar, Morocco and Ceuta you'll board the coach and travel to Monte Hacho, the city's highest point. Along the way you'll pass by the Fortress de Hacho, a strategic stronghold since Roman times, and Desnarigado Castle Museum, home to a valuable collection of military objects.

Your coach will continue up the slopes of Monte Hacho to the Ermitage of San Antonio. Originally built in the 17th century and reconstructed in the 1960s, the chapel is a popular pilgrimage destination. Step off the coach, breathe in the fresh air and admire the landscape stretched out before you.

Your brief tour complete, you'll return to your ship with a unique overview of this ancient city.
