Ocean Wonders Immersive Experience on Your Own
Journey beneath the waves-no swimsuit required. Ocean Wonders is a 30-minute immersive dome experience that surrounds you with the sights and sounds of the sea. Filmed in a stunning 360° format with state-of-the-art technology, this cinematic adventure explores the lush kelp forests of Catalina Island and dives into tropical waters from Hawaii to the Caribbean. Along the way, you'll encounter whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, sea lions, a rare dugong, and more-brought to life on a massive dome screen. Set to dynamic music with expert narration, the show plays in an air-conditioned theater complete with ultra-comfy seating (bean bags included!). Perfect for all ages, Ocean Wonders is fun, educational, and unforgettable.
What You Will See Along the Way:
A warm and welcoming island resort, Catalina is renowned for its stunning coastline and unspoiled natural habitat, home to a wide variety of wildlife. Rich in history, its waters were first fished by the Tongva people. In 1542, explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, sailing for Spain, became the first European to arrive. Over the next few centuries, the island welcomed Russian otter hunters, Yankee smugglers, fishermen-and even the Chicago Cubs, who held spring training here in the 1920s and '30s. Today, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of charming Avalon, with its lively waterfront, inviting seaside restaurants and shops, and historic landmarks-including the iconic Catalina Casino, built in the late 1920s by chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr.
