Explore one of southeastern Spain's most intriguing cultural treasures on this moderate, half-day tour. Cartagena stirs your imagination with the romance of Old Spain

Cartagena continually draws you deeper with its heady blend of history, culture, and tropical charm. You can't help but be enchanted by the ever-changing tableaus and the expert commentary of your friendly guide as your scenic drive takes you into the city. The city is a kaleidoscope of architectural styles.

Leave the port for a panoramic drive of the city, before joining the locals for a relaxing stroll where you can breathe in the sea air and watch the waves lap Cartagena's storied shore. Finding yourself in the center of the historic old town, you'll be surrounded by the opulence of a gilded age. Situated close to the waterfront and the Calle Mayor, the Main Avenue, The Town Hall is a feast for the eyes. In 1907 the King of Spain and the King of England opened the building in style: each arriving with an impressive squadron of ships.

For your next adventure, you'll have time to wander the narrow cobblestone streets and squares of the Old City. Lose yourself in the charm of the atmospheric cafes and perhaps browse the shops for a memento or two during your free time. And there's colorful Carmen Street, the Spanish Square and many other sites to behold.

Later, visit the Roman Theater and Museum. You'll pass through the impressive Corridor of History, the Court of Exposures and the subterranean passage to enter the theater for a glimpse of past glory. Afterwards, return to the pier.
