WHAT YOU VISIT
Scenic Cartagena: A Journey Through Time
Explore Cartagena's rich contrasts through time-from the charming Walled City to the modern district with a comprehensive coach and walking tour beginning with a scenic drive past the Clock Tower that guards the entrance to the Old City. From your window, you can't miss the magnificent fortress known as the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas as you ride into the iconic Walled City. Once inside, admire sites such as the beautifully restored former bullring. Stop for photos of Santo Domingo Bastion then stroll through UNESCO-listed streets and landmarks including Cartagena Cathedral, Plaza Santo Domingo, Las Murallas, and more. Then, enjoy a visit to an emerald workshop and free time before rejoining the coach and a panoramic tour through the modern district of Bocagrande with views of the Naval Base and Convention Center.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Your memory card will be filled with one vibrant image after another on this fun and fascinating tour. A photo stop inside the Walled City at Santo Domingo Bastion affords amazing views of the Caribbean Sea with colonial architecture as the backdrop.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Your journey through the Old City also takes you past the infamous Palacio de la Inquisición, a charming multi-storied structure and one of the best examples of 18th century colonial Spanish architecture. But behind the ornate stone gateway is a history of misery and torture. During the colonial era, 800 people were condemned to death and executed for crimes of what the Church decreed were "magic, witchcraft and blasphemy."
