Your adventure begins as you depart from your ship in Cannes, board a motorcoach, and journey to the largest city in the French Riviera, Nice.
Nice adorns the French Riviera like a jewel accents a necklace. It sparkles! Believed to be among the oldest human settlements in all of Europe, it's known for its spectacular natural beauty and mild Mediterranean climate. No wonder it became the winter escape for the English upper classes and an increasing number of aristocratic families in the second half of the 18th century.
You'll arrive in this luxurious city and board a comfortable tram for a leisurely 45 mintues narrated ride through Old Nice. Travel through the narrow streets past the popular flower market. This area is not only picturesque, but is known for its unique shopping, from its popular Cours Selaya daily markets and historic architecture to boutique shopping. Around the Rue Saint François de Paule, you'll find arts and crafts, olive oils, milled French soaps, truffles and more. Wander deeper into the narrow streets and find shops devoted to jewelry, wine, kitchen and even umbrellas.
