WHAT YOU VISIT
Rainforestation National Park
Set on 100 acres in the midst of Australia's World Heritage Rainforest, the park's unique six-wheel-drive amphibious Ducks is an ideal way to explore this breathtaking area. Once aboard, you'll cruise up the lush jungle waterways and learn the mysteries of this ancient ecosystem before heading back on land to the Koala and Wildlife Refuge for a meet and greet with the cute critters that call this forest their home.
Then, it's on to the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, winner of a Gold 2019 Queensland Tourism Award for its authentic Indigenous Australian culture. Stroll along the Dreamtime Walk as the guides present fascinating customs and ancient traditions. Try your hand at boomerang throwing, watch didgeridoo playing and spear throwing (two of the Pamagirri guides are in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest spear throws!). In the Rainforestation Amphitheatre, you can watch the Pamagirri Dance Performance, a traditional dance depicting aspects of Indigenous culture including animals, food gathering and hunting.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Everywhere you point your camera is one memorable photo after another. Snap away when you see koalas, crocodiles, and wombats at the Koala and Wildlife Refuge and take a selfie when you feed the kangaroos.
LUNCH
Savor the flavors of Tropical North Queensland with an Aussie-style BBQ lunch served in the Outback Restaurant. A restaurant experience like no other, you'll be surrounded by tropical gardens as you dine.
