This spectacular excursion to some of the most serene and historic landmarks in Busan, starts with a scenic bus ride through mountains and pine forests to Gyeong-ju. Joined by your friendly local guide, your first port of call is the breath-taking Tumuli Park, home to some 20 royal tombs that date back to the Silla Dynasty, who ruled from 668 to 936 A.D.

Here, your guide will show you the colorful Chonmachong, or 'Flying Horse Tomb'. This royal tomb, belonging to an unknown king from the Silla dynasty, was excavated in 1973, and is believed to date back to the fifth century. The name of the tomb derives from a famous painting of a white horse and once contained a chest full of burial goods which including iron kettles, pottery, bronze vessels, saddles, and a sword.

You will then journey to the wonderful National Museum, a real treasure trove, full of Korean cultural artifacts including gold crowns, Buddhist relics and prehistoric stone instruments. Wandering around, you will also be able to view the 'Divine Bell of King Songdok', a bronze bell that stands 11 feet high and weighs an incredible 23 tons. Then savor a delicious Korean lunch.

Perched on the slopes of Mt. Tohamsan, this quiet oasis is a superb example of both Silla architecture and the culture's devotion to Buddhism.

You will be enthralled as your guide leads you around this amazing collection of wooden buildings, and although many of them have been rebuilt many times, the stone bridges, stairways and pagodas are all original.

After enjoying the temple and grounds, you will board the motorcoach for the return journey back to the port.
