WHAT YOU VISIT
Old Port of Algorta
Founded in the 17th century by the Seamen's Guild, remnants of its mariner past is evident in the old whitewashed fisherman's cottages that have been transformed into lively taverns. Perched on steep, rocky cliffs overlooking El Abra Bay, the original port is recognized as a Cultural Asset by the Basque Government.

Bizkaia Bridge
This architectural marvel erected in 1893 is the world's first iron transporter bridge and a pioneering landmark of the Industrial Revolution and de-serves its UNESCO World Heritage acknowledgment. Its gondola, held by cables, gives the structure the nickname the "hanging bridge." Step inside and soar over the Nervión River, which connects both coasts in Basque Country.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
As you glide over the water of the Nervión River, you'll have Instagrammable shots of sailing craft passing beneath the bridge as well as the bridge's heavy, twisted steel ropes and suspension cables.

SNACKS
Enjoy peaceful views of the Bay of Biscay while savoring a traditional Basque pintxo served with one drink at a local tavern in Algorta.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
When you arrive back in Bilbao, you'll stop at the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art. Daring and innovative, this masterpiece of the 20th century is covered with over 35,000 titanium tiles and pieces of glass strategically placed to catch the natural light. In front of the museum, a colorful installa-tion by artist Jeff Koons entitled "Puppy" is made up of more than 60,000 living flowers.
