Enjoy getting to know the real Bermuda as you travel by taxi in a group of no more than six people. After meeting your driver/guide at the Royal Naval Dockyard, your adventure will begin as you journey through this historic military location. Your friendly driver will entertain you with interesting information and anecdotes about the beautiful island of Bermuda, before you arrive at your first stop, the delightful Heydon Trust Chapel. This tiny cottage, which is set in 43 acres of lush garden, dates back to 1616 and is the smallest church in Bermuda.
You will then pass over Somerset Bridge, one of the smallest drawbridges ever constructed, on the way to Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, reputed to be one of the oldest cast-iron lighthouses in the world. There will be an opportunity to take photographs and browse the gift shop here before continuing along South Shore Road, en route to Hamilton for a scenic driving tour of the city.
Along the way, your driver will stop at one of the famous pink-sand beaches for more photographs, before your return drive to the ship on the scenic Harbor Road. Here, you will enjoy incredible views of Hamilton Harbor, and the many colorful limestone houses for which Bermuda is famous.
