What you will visit:
Dolphin Encounter
Dolphin Quest Bermuda is located in the Maritime Museum Complex, just a quick walk from the port. Your Dolphin Encounter begins with a 10-minute introduction to these fascinating mammals. You'll learn facts and behaviors from the trainers who work with them daily, and the playful bottlenose dolphins will demonstrate some of their behaviors for you. Then put on a required life vest for approximately 20 minutes of water fun that includes both time in waist-high water on a submerged platform and an opportunity to swim into deeper water, where you will observe the dolphins as they swim around you. Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel. Professional photographs will be available to purchase in the gift shop.
The National Museum of Bermuda
More than just the island's largest fortress, the National Museum of Bermuda is an immersive experience to discover more than five centuries of the island's history, from its early settlement to its pivotal role as a maritime center for shipping and sailing. Located within the Royal Naval Dockyard, the museum occupies a series of historic fortifications, including the iconic Commissioner's House, Casemates Barracks, and The Keep. Explore an exhibit hall dedicated to treasures salvaged from centuries-old shipwrecks by underwater archaeologists, then delve into the region's defensive heritage showcasing over 90 forts scattered across the island. Kids will love the playground and playhouse, where they can discover a lighthouse or brave a giant moray eel.
What you will see along the way:
It's a quick walk (approximately a quarter mile) through the Royal Naval Dockyard, a bustling hub for cruise ships and home to the Dolphin Encounter, National Museum, a variety of attractions and the vibrant Craft Market.
