Board your air-conditioned transportation for the approximately 40-minute scenic drive through Belize City as your guide recounts Belize's colorful history and point out some historic place of interest. Then travel up the Western Highway to Almond Hill Lagoon, where you receive a short orientation and safety briefing before boarding your airboat. Skim across Almond Hill Lagoon for an adventure ride through mangrove forest. Only inches deep, the marsh is home to brightly colored water lilies, wading birds, turkey buzzards, and even crocodiles. After your marsh adventure cruise back to Almond Hill Lagoon enjoy live Garifuna drumming, singing and dancing. Get a taste of local rum and fruit wine. Those who are interested can purchase from a selection of more than twenty brands of rum, a special memento from the souvenir shop. Then return to the tender dock.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring sunglasses and adequate sun protection. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver. The minimum age required to participate is 5 years old maximum weight allowed is 290 pounds. Wildlife sightings, while common, are not guaranteed. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women and guests with neck, back and/or heart conditions.
Medical Restriction
