Bathsheba Beach
Marvel at the rugged beauty of Bathsheba Beach, located on the east coast of Barbados. This gorgeous beach stretches along a dramatic coastline, where waves, wind and time have conspired to sculpt giant mushroom-shaped rock formations that jut majestically out of the pounding surf, the largest of which, the Bathsheba Rock, sits slightly offshore.
What you will see along the way:
The east coast of Barbados is dominated by dramatic ocean-carved cliffs, windswept beaches, rocky shores and breathtaking panoramic vistas. A 4x4 vehicle is the best way to explore, allowing off-road capabilities. Drive through old sugar plantations and over a 300-year-old bridge and travel 1,000 feet above sea level to Edgecliff and to the fishing village of Bathsheba, where waves crash along the beach. You'll also drive through historic Holetown, the landing point for the first English settlers in 1627, passing a monument commemorating their arrival. On your way back to port, you'll see the glamourous properties that dot the west coast.
