WHAT YOU VISIT
Virpazar
The charming hamlet of Virpazar, set on the shores of Lake Skadar National Park, offers a refreshing and unspoiled look at the Montenegrin way of life. Periodically, the village hosts fairs and there is a small market where you can buy souvenirs made by the locals such as olive oil, honey and a prayer bracelet called "brojanica" that's made of sheep's wool and traditionally consists of 33 knots, each knot composed of seven intertwined crosses.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Have your camera ready for a stop at the viewpoint overlooking Sveti Stefan. An island connected to the land by a natural isthmus, Sveti Stefan is a former fishing village transformed into an elite private resort.
SNACKS
Once you disembark in Virpazar, you can purchase sweet treats like "priganice," small airy doughnuts traditionally served with honey, or a crunchy, dry cookie called a "frustula."
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
After boarding your comfortable coach, you'll travel through the beautiful coastal towns of Sutomore and Petrovac, known for their breathtaking beaches, and journey over the Paštovacka gora mountain pass, where you'll have wonderful views of Lake Skadar National Park. This unique nature reserve is a birder's paradise-not only does it hold Europe's largest settlement of pelicans it's home to over 260 different species of birds including storks, herons, cormorants, gulls, different kinds of ducks, gooses, and pheasant.
