What better way to cool off in Bali's hot sun than on a Class II and Class III rafting trip down the Ayung River, Bali's longest and largest river? It's recommended that you wear shorts, a t-shirt and washable shoes or river shoes. All the equipment you need including a paddle, safety equipment such as a flotation vest and waterproof bags are provided but you need to bring a towel, hat, sunglasses, sun protection and a change of clothes.

Your whitewater rafting adventure begins with a picturesque drive through Bali's spectacular rainforest-covered hills, terraced rice paddies, and tropical fruit and spice plantations. When you arrive at the rafting center you'll meet your professional and experienced guides. After you receive your equipment, you'll be given a brief safety orientation. Then, you'll walk down the steep steps, which lead to the banks of the Ayung River for basic paddling instructions and a chance to practice.

Once you're in your raft, be prepared for thrills and chills; you're sure to be splashed and surprised by the moderate, irregular waves. As you paddle your way down the river you'll pass moss-draped ravines, dramatic gorges, cascading waterfalls, dense tropical rainforest jungle, towering cliffs and Hindu shrines. Be on the lookout for wild animals such as bats, black monkeys, and magpies in the trees and along the banks.

At the end of your ride, your guide will pull you ashore so you can hike up the path to shower and change. After changing, enjoy lunch at the Royal Pita Maha Resort and Spa in Ubud. Etched into a hillside, the resort is reminiscent of an intimate Balinese village. Sit back and relax on the terrace overlooking the Ayung River as you enjoy your meal of Balinese delicacies.

After lunch, you'll travel back through Ubud to your ship.
