A gentle walking trail follows the river, allowing visitors to enjoy seasonal scenery, from fresh greenery in spring to vibrant autumn colours. The soothing sound of flowing water creates a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere throughout the gorge.
Lake Towada Cruise
Japan's Area of Special Scenic Beauty and a natural monument, Lake Towada sits in a large crater of an active volcano that last erupted in 915 A.D. Its deep blue color is a result of its deep depth of 327 meters (1,073 feet). The surrounding mountain vistas, the lake's bright blue water, combined with the fresh green of the trees is beautiful from the shore but is even more stunning as you cruise around the lake by boat.
