Your adventure begins as you board your motorcoach at the pier and travel to Giske and Godoy. Your scenic journey will take you via a series of bridges and submarine tunnels, the longest of which is nearly 2.2 miles long!

Before long, you'll arrive on the island of Giske. Known as the 'Saga Island,' it's been inhabited since the Bronze Age. In fact, Giske was the birthplace of the Viking Rollon, who founded the Duchy of Normandy in France. Ancient burial mounds here have yielded silver, bronze, and gold artifacts that date back even beyond Viking times. As you tour the area, you'll get to visit the picturesque white marble church built in the 12th century by the island's ruling family for their personal use.

After your visit, you'll again take a lovely ride to your next island stop, Godoy. Most of the inhabitants live on the southern coast, with its stretches of white sand beaches and world-renowned surfing. However, its northern coast boasts a charming lighthouse. If you're up for it, be sure to climb the 88 steps to the top to take in some stunning views of the sea, fjords, and Alesund. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Your final visit is to the neighbouring island of Hessa where you have a magnificent view of Ålesund from another direction. Before Midsummer you can see the ceremonial bonfire being built. Capture some last moments on your cameras before heading back to the ship.
