What you will visit:

Picture Perfect: City Selfies in Saint John

Say cheese! Led by a selfie tutor, you'll explore the city's most iconic landmarks and capture picture-perfect memories. Begin at the Reversing Falls, where the Bay of Fundy's tides meet the rushing Saint John River. This natural phenomenon provides stunning action shots as the water swirls and reverses (depending on the tides). Next, visit Wolastoq Park, a scenic hilltop space offering panoramic views of the harbor and artistic monuments honoring the region's Indigenous heritage. Conclude at the Saint John City Market, Canada's oldest continually operating farmers market. Your selfie tutor will help you frame the perfect shot.

What you will see along the way:

Situated on Canada's southeastern Atlantic seaboard, where the Bay of Fundy meets the Saint John River, the harbor town of Saint John blends its maritime heritage with modern flair. The landmarks that have survived the centuries are stalwart emblems of the oldest incorporated city in Canada.

Photo Opportunities:

Old City Market
Located in the heart of Saint John, the oldest working farmers market in Canada is still a popular meeting place for local residents. The market first opened in 1876, and its distinctive roof mimics the shape of a ship's hull.

Reversing Falls

A unique natural phenomenon caused by the monstrously high tides of the Bay of Fundy, a 170-mile-long ocean bay on Canada's east coast, that reverse the flow of the powerful St. John River. Photo Tip: Depending on the timing, capture the movement of the tides by using a slow shutter speed or focus on framing the falls with the surrounding nature for dramatic shots.
Fort Howe

Wolastoq Park offers one of the most scenic and culturally rich photo backdrops in Saint John. Don't miss the sculptures and monuments honoring the people whose ancestral territory this land occupies. These installations provide a powerful visual tribute to Indigenous heritage, adding depth and storytelling to your photo collection.

Special Notes

A moderate amount of walking is included. Uneven paths should be expected when walking in most areas. Bring your cell phone or camera for this tour. Tour sequence may vary. The tour is sensitive to weather conditions. Venues and menus may vary due to operational issues (availability upon arrival, seasonal produce, etc.). Guests who miss the return transportation will be responsible for getting back to the ship. Please note that some venues on the tour may not be private and other groups may be present during your visit. This tour is not recommended for guests in wheelchairs or others with limited mobility, as it includes getting on and off the motor coach and some walking at the stops. Reversing Falls can be seen at their greatest magnitude during the tidal change, which occurs at different times each day. The tour route may be adjusted to align with the tide change, but we cannot guarantee being there at the exact time. Comfortable shoes are recommended, as the tour involves walking. Dressing in layers is advised, as the weather in the Maritimes is unpredictable and can be windy, rainy or cool. An umbrella is highly recommended.
