WHAT YOU VISIT
Skårhaug
Built in 1840, Skårhaug once served as the office and home of the local sheriff. As one of the oldest, privately-owned houses in Nordfjordeid, it's just one of the well-preserved houses built in the mid-19th century. Once you arrive at Skårhaug, you'll receive a warm welcome from the owner, whose family has owned the house since 1870. Once inside the renovated home, a tour reveals rooms furnished in several different period styles, and old tools that were used on the farm. Following the tour, you'll learn the secrets to local baking traditions by helping to prepare a few specialties. Before returning to the ship, you can relax with coffee, tea, and delicious pastries in the charming garden or the beautiful living room. This tour is very limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
