What you will visit:
Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) is home of the famed Leaning Tower, which is the cathedral's bell tower, as well as the duomo, the baptistery, the monumental cemetery and museums. Many people ask why it leans and what its original purpose was. The tower was meant to be the bell tower for the cathedral, but due to its faulty design and loose soil beneath it, it never fulfilled its purpose. The Leaning Tower of Pisa really is leaning! On the side where the tower is higher, it stands at 187.27 feet, and on the lower side it stands at 186 feet.
Lido Beach
A drive along the coast brings you to the charming seaside village of Viareggio, Tuscany's largest seaside resort. Here, you'll enjoy time at leisure at a private beach club and a Princess Cruise Lines Exclusive. Lido Beach is the perfect place to enjoy beach activities: go swimming, join in a game of volleyball or tennis, or indulge in a savory meal in the restaurant (separate fees for activities and meals). Or stroll along Viareggio's enchanting promenade and admire the Art Nouveau hotels and ocean views.
