WHAT YOU VISIT
La Palma Buggy Adventure
Get behind the wheel of an off-road buggy and experience all the breathtaking landscapes this treasured island has to offer. Designed for everyone in the family, this small-group tour begins when you arrive via coach in the village of El LLanito where you'll meet your guide and receive a safety briefing. Then, on your helmet and visor and step inside the 2-seater buggy. Hold on tight as you follow safari-style behind your guide to the village of Mazo. Passengers can have their cameras ready as you cross the majestic mountains of Breña Alta and Breña Baja. Varoom through forested tracks to the Niquiomo area, known for lush vegetation and a prominent rock formation. More thrills are in store when you steer deep into the summit ridge of Cumbre Nueva, an active volcano pockmarked by dozens of craters and cones. From this vantage point, you'll enjoy spectacular views over the Aridane Valley and Las Breñas volcanic cone.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
As you make your way around Niquiomo, you'll no doubt have views of the Roque-a 1,180-meter-high rock (3,871-foot-high) dotted with caves once occupied by the Auarita, indigenous people who inhabited La Palma prior to European colonization.
SNACKS
During a stop, you'll be treated to one refreshment or mineral water plus pieces of fresh fruit.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
La Palma's volcanic origins are evident as you look out over Montaña de la Breña, an ancient volcanic cone rising 565-meters-high (1,853 feet).
