Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
The splendour is apparent as we weave our way through the rooms where we take advantage of the illustrious, colourful and at times incredible history that is on offer as our guide transports us back in time. It is a fascinating story - one that weaves together the fortunes of Robert the Bruce, Princess Pocahontas, Charles I, the Emperor Napoleon and Florence Nightingale amongst others.
Listening to the bagpipes being played is simply enchanting and we hear how the memorable sound is made using a lot of hot air! We then get a shot of a chanter for ourselves; the instrument used when learning to play the pipes. This fun workshop allows everyone to join in and even try on some tartan to strut around in – you will become a piper in the making!
Following a fun time at Ardgowan House, we depart and return to the ship in Greenock.
During your time at the House a traditional "high tea" is taken with tea and coffee served in stately grandeur.
