What you will visit:
Open Air Tram & Authentic Bahamian Culture Tour
Discover Bimini on a guided journey through its charming North Bimini settlements. Your guide shares fascinating insights into the history of Bimini and The Bahamas during this approximately 2.5-hour experience.
Dolphin House
A hand-built, ocean-inspired mini museum filled with artifacts and local history, the Dolphin House in Bimini is a one-of-a-kind structure created by local artist and historian Ashley Saunders as an evolving work of art inspired by his personal, life-changing encounter with wild dolphins. Built almost entirely from recycled materials, every surface is covered in mosaics made from shells, sea glass, and found objects. Inside, you'll find artifacts and memorabilia that reflect Bimini's history and culture. You might even meet a fifth-generation pirate, adding to the character of the atmosphere.
Radio Beach
Stop by Radio Beach to feel the soft white sand and enjoy the shoreline. Radio Beach is Bimini's most famous public beach, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. A perfect spot for photos-bring a beach towel if you'd like to spend a moment on the sand.
The Straw Market
Explore a traditional straw market where local vendors display handmade goods that reflect the heritage and everyday life of Bimini. More than a place to shop, the market highlights local craftsmanship and provides an opportunity to interact with residents while supporting small businesses.
Local Conch Stand
In Bimini, conch (pronounced "konk") is a large marine mollusk that plays an important role in both local cuisine and daily life. Visit a traditional conch stand where you'll learn about its significance and watch a live conch cracking demonstration. Tastings of conch fritters or conch salad are available for purchase, typically around $3.00 each.
What you will see along the way:
Along the tram route, enjoy beautiful vistas, roadside conch stands, fishing boats, and marinas that highlight Bimini's long-standing reputation as a sportfishing destination. The laid-back pace of island life is evident in the local activity around you.
Lunch:
Refresh during your adventure with a Bahamian-style lunch and beverage.
Photo Opportunity:
In Alice Town, stop to photograph a bust of Martin Luther King Jr., located along the main harbor. It commemorates his 1964 visit to Bimini, where he spent time in reflection and worked on his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech.
