Fat biking is one of Norway's most popular winter activities and Alta is a fat biking paradise. What is a fat bike? It's an off-road bicycle whose super wide tires and wheels are heavier than a mountain bike and the added traction and wider surface area allows riders to easily navigate soft terrain like snow. Ideal for people of all skill levels, this fully-guided tour will take you on an exploration of one of the many trails in the Alta Valley, known as Norway's fat bike capital. Then, you'll follow your guide along the flat terrain into the dazzling heart of the valley.

SNACKS
En route, you'll stop at one of the many gapahuk (a rustic wooden structure) in the valley where you can warm up by a fire and enjoy a traditional snack accompanied by a warming cup of tea or coffee.

Minimum age to participate is 14. Lights on the bikes, helmets and warm mittens that can be provided upon request if guests don't have their own.
