A lovely time spent in the countryside awaits on this idyllic 3.5-hour tour that takes you 20-miles outside of Wellington to Shenandoah, a working farm set inside a native wild birdlife reserve overlooking the sparkling Pauatahanui Inlet. You'll be welcomed onto the property by Simon, a proud Kiwi who will take you on an extensive tour of his property. With his passion, storytelling and wealth of little known facts of the area's heritage, Simon will captivate and enlighten you with its history, which began as a Maori fortress for Ngati Toa in the 1800s. Behind the barn doors, you'll peruse Simon's private museum filled with artifacts found on the property dating back over the last 150 years, including very rare vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles and other treasures. Fill your camera with photos of the formal gardens, farm animals, wildlife and native birdlife. Enjoy homemade morning/afternoon tea with locally sourced products. Return to port after this lovely day.
