Board your motorcoach and begin your adventure in the wonderful city of Vancouver. Travel through the bustling downtown business district en route to Stanley Park, a magnificent 1000-acre rainforest.

Stanley Park is one of the largest urban forests in Canada and a premier Vancouver attraction. The West Coast climate supports the abundance of flora and fauna and a wonderful variety of furry creatures and majestic birds call this sanctuary home. The black squirrels that you see scampering among the trees were actually brought over from New York's Central Park decades ago. At the east tip of the Stanley Park is Brockton Point, where you'll find the famed Native Totem Garden. Colorful, carved works of art stand proud and tall in commemoration of the First Nations culture, which first inhabited the area. Your knowledgeable guide will impart the history of the area and will tell you the story behind the totem poles. Notice how each totem pole has a different face carved into it; they each represent individual families and tribes.

Your adventure gets even more thrilling when you walk across the 160-foot high Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. You may get goose bumps, but it's worth it because the views are spectacular. When you reach the Capilano Canyon, your guide will walk you through the rainforest's breathtaking surroundings. Learn about the area's diverse plant life and discover lichen, moss, ferns, and flowering plants, which grow under the mantle of some of the oldest and largest trees. Walk among the giant cedars, towering Douglas firs and mature hemlock. Visit British Columbia's oldest known Yew tree and let the nature guide explain the medical significance of these exceptional trees. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover one of the world's most primitive ecosystems and how all of its inhabitants contribute to its delicate balance.

Amidst this beautiful setting, enjoy a gourmet snack and drink before boarding your motorcoach for your downtown hotel.
