Ringve Museum, Exclusive Music Recital & City Drive

After meeting your guide at the port in Trondheim, you will enjoy a drive through this pretty city to the fabulous Ringve Museum, for your first stop on this super fun half-day tour.

The museum sits on a hill overlooking the beautiful Trondheim fjord, surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Inside the museum, which is housed in a former stable building and old manor house, you will able to peruse the incredible collection of some 2,000 musical instruments from around the world.

Your guide will be on hand to answer any questions, but look out for the lovely period furniture and be sure to enjoy the views from the large windows.

You will then be treated to a sparkling wine reception, and a short musical recital performed by musicians who will be dressed in colorful national costume.

You will have the opportunity to browse the gift shop before a photo opportunity at Nidaros Cathedral, one of the largest buildings in Scandinavia. The church is on the burial site of King Olav, the patron saint who is said to have introduced Christianity to Norway. This impressive 12th century church remains an important destination for pilgrims who come from all over northern Europe to worship here.

On the way back to the ship through more of Trondheim, you will also drive past the picturesque drawbridge that spans the River Nidelva.
