WHAT YOU VISIT
Kaituna River
This world-famous white-water destination offers a heart-pounding adventure. Once you arrive at the edge of the Kaituna River, you'll meet your expertly trained guide who will offer a full safety briefing. After you don your life jacket and helmet you'll step into the raft and maneuver it through the waves, through calm waters, over wild Grade 3 rapids, unspoiled bush lands, past the tree-lined riverbank and the exciting grade 5 waterfall that plunges 22 feet into the river below.

Once over the bumpy riverbeds, you'll experience stretches of water so calm you can pull out your waterproof camera and take memorable photos of the stunning scenery.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
A drive from the ship takes you through the popular beach resort town of Mount Maunganui and into the open countryside.
Special Notes:
This is an active tour, so you should be in good physical condition and you must be confident, capable swimmer in order to participate. Wear a swimsuit, Shorts and bring a towel.The Kaituna River is a grade 3 with a Grade 5 waterfall drop. It is not uncommon for the rafts to flip at the bottom of the waterfall.
Participants must be aged a minimum of 13 years. Minimum weight of 40 pounds irrespective of age.
