What you will visit:
Rocca Al Mare Open-Air Museum
Nestled southwest of Tallinn's city center, the Rocca al Mare Open-Air Museum is set within expansive parklands with vistas of the sea. It holds an exceptional collection of over 100 preserved 18th- and 19th-century village buildings, many of them among the oldest in Estonia. From farmhouses and churches to log houses and windmills, the museum offers an immersive experience in the lives of Estonians and traces both the architectural and cultural development of Estonia over the past 200 years.
Lower Old Town, Tallinn:
Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Tallinn, Estonia's capital, is a jewel box city showcasing a rich history and special ambience. Its lower town, the larger part of medieval Tallinn, was built between the 13th and 16th centuries and is an enclosed neighborhood of colorful houses, half-hidden courtyards and churches. The town is dotted with ancient guard towers, its streets and shops are full of old-world charm, and Town Hall Square retains the ambience of when it was the hub of the Hanseatic League, trading goods from around the world in its central marketplace.
