WHAT YOU VISIT
Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen)
This cliff-top platform stands 1982 feet (604 meters) above the sea, overlooking the Lysefjord and offering magnificent views of the lush green mountains and valleys of the Ryfylke region. One of Norway's top attractions, Pulpit Rock was formed over 10,000 years ago when glacial activity sheared off part of the mountain. A two-hour hike up the craggy trail takes you past wild countryside, marshlands, and sparkling ponds before dramatically delivering you to the flat 25 x 25 meter plateau that juts out between the sky and the sea.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Take in stunning seascapes from the vessel's deck as you cruise the waters. The walk to Pulpit Rock takes approximately two hours and affords stunning panoramic views across the fjords.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Iconic views have earned Pulpit Rock its status as one of Norway's most photographed and visited sites. Focus your camera on the sparkling waterfalls and the spectacular Lysefjord. If you're looking for a truly remarkable shot, you can hike a bit further up the trail, just above the plateau, to also capture the full scope of this magnificent natural wonder in your shot.

LUNCH OR SNACK
You'll eat a box lunch, containing a ham and cheese sandwich, a piece of fruit and a bottle of water, picnic-style, at the Pulpit Rock plateau.
