Swap your big cruise ship for a small canal boat on this enjoyable half-day cruise through some of the city's prettiest waterways.

Your excursion begins with an hour-long journey along the Fontanka or Moika river, while you enjoy a complimentary glass of Russian sparkling wine.

Peter the Great conceived the Neva as the main thoroughfare of St Petersburg, and to that end, the river was used to transport everything from people to merchandise.

During this gentle cruise, you will pass under numerous picturesque bridges and admire the exteriors of many of St Petersburg's beautiful buildings. Your guide will provide you with a detailed map of the city, enabling you to follow your route as you motor along, enjoying the company of your fellow passengers.

You will then disembark for a short walk or a short motorcoach ride to reach the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. You will have plenty of time to survey one of the souvenir stores. Barter with the locals for a bargain before boarding your bus for a scenic return journey to the pier.

Canal routing may vary; routing can be changed to the Neva River if tidal conditions do not permit entry to the canals.

Tour involves walking and stair climbing at the boat pier and is not wheelchair friendly. Wheelchairs/scooters are not allowed onboard the canal boats.
