WHAT YOU VISIT

The Kremlin
This fortified complex contains five palaces, four cathedrals and serves as the official residence and office of the President of the Russian Federation. The Kremlin was constructed in the 12th century as a fortress. Cathedral Square is the focal point of the extensive grounds and showcases magnificent architecture from the 15th century; the cathedrals' interiors are resplendent with frescos and iconostases - dramatic walls of icons and religious paintings.

The Armory
One of the oldest museums in Moscow, the Armory consists of nine halls displaying an exceptional collection of Russian and foreign articles of the 12th-19th centuries. See the spectacular collection of jewels, costumes, crowns, weapons and royal carriages that once belonged to the Russian czars. Don't miss the ten Imperial Faberge eggs.

Red Square
Anchored by the Kremlin Towers and the colorful domes of the 16th century St. Basil's Cathedral, the massive Red Square, which separates the Kremlin from the city has evolved over many centuries from a marketplace to a major hub of Russian history and power. Take in the panoramic views, and photograph a plethora of landmarks and statues as well as Lenin's tomb.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Watch the countryside roll past your window as you travel by high-speed train from St. Petersburg to Moscow. Once in Russia's capital, meet your guide for a drive through the city en route to the Kremlin and Red Square provides you with insights into its historic past and vibrant present.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
In Red Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, don't miss a photo opportunity of Lenin's Mausoleum and the ornately domed St. Basil's Cathedral.

SHOPPING
Browse through the famous GUM (pronounced goom) Shopping Mall, where rows of international designers' boutiques line the architecturally stunning hallways.
