This panoramic half-day excursion around St Petersburg is perfect for anyone wishing to experience the wonders of this vibrant city, but without having to walk too far, or tackle many steps.

You will be driven to some of the city's major attractions and landmarks, accompanied by your guide, who will meet you when you board the bus at the pier, and narrate your tour.

The order of stops is subject to change but will include a drive to the Spit of Vasilievsky Island for your first photo stop at the striking Rostral Columns, which are situated on the River Neva by the old St Petersburg Stock Exchange, and were originally lighthouses.

Then you will drive to St Isaac's Square to view the spectacular cathedral, which dominates the city's skyline, and boasts one of the largest gold domes in the world.

After a brief photo stop, you will climb back on to the bus for a drive past the Admiralty building and the Hermitage museum.

During the course of the tour you will also view the Bronze Horseman statue in the Decembrists Square, as well as enjoying a drive around the city's University buildings, and the Peter and Paul Fortress, the birth-place of the city.

Your next photo stop will be the delightful Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood. This traditional Russian-style building was built on the site of the assassination of Tsar Alexander II, and has been restored to its former ornate glory. Linger on the steps and enjoy the ambience.

Your drive back to the ship takes you along the Nevsky Prospect, one of Russia's most famous streets, which is lined with magnificent palaces and churches.
