Whale Watching Adventure
Travel along the deep waters surrounding St. Lucia, which are a natural breeding ground for marine life. Whales and dolphins are usually spotted on the surface or located with the use of an underwater hydrophone that listens for the rhythmic click of sperm whales, pinging of pilot whales, whistling of dolphins or singing of humpbacks. Knowledgeable guides provide a running commentary throughout the cruise, and the captain will maneuver the vessel for optimal viewing and photography. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

What you will see along the way:
From the deck of the custom whale-watching vessel, enjoy spectacular views of the island, the warm ocean breeze and lovely natural landscapes.

Photo Opportunities:
Everyone on board the vessel keeps a keen eye out. Whales will stay on the surface of the water for approximately 15 minutes before diving below. When they are spotted, the agile nature of the vessel allows the captain to get the best possible view so you can photograph the whales without disturbing them. A tip for photographing whales is to make sure the camera is close to your eye at all times, as the two to three seconds it takes to position the camera might make all the difference.

Special Notes:

Weather and sea conditions permitting, a hydrophone is used in locating whales and dolphins if they are not spotted from the surface. This is used only in calm waters and not if the sea is rough.
