Stoney Hill Estate
Boasting one of the most stunning views to be found in all of St. Lucia, Stoney Hill Estate is a privately owned three-acre property surrounded by a glorious garden blooming with local flora. A broad range of plant life, from lush tropical rainforest plants to cactus scrub land, is artfully displayed, and of particular note is the elegant orchid garden. Within this natural setting, there are a number of different walking trails accommodating different fitness abilities. For visitors who prefer to sit and contemplate their surroundings, there are exquisite views to be had from a number of gazebos and patios.
Pigeon Island National Park
One of the most significant historical sites of St. Lucia, Pigeon Island National Park is in the northern part of St. Lucia, located in Gros Islet. The island was artificially joined to the western coast of the mainland in 1972, and in 1992 it was designated a National Park. Pigeon Island contains numerous forts and a path around the island's perimeter. An easy 20-minute walk leads past the ruins of Fort Rodney, a small abandoned stone fortress with some old canons. It continues uphill to the top of the 359-foot Signal Peak, for spectacular views. The park is fringed by a beautiful stretch of beach with crystal-clear turquoise waters suitable for swimming.
What you will see along the way:
St. Lucia's exotic beauty truly exemplifies the colorful allure of the Caribbean. Nature lovers will thrill to this wonderful tour of the most splendid sites the island has to offer.
Snack:
At Stoney Hill Estate, on completion of your garden exploration, guests will be treated to some local juice, freshly squeezed from seasonal fruits, and invited to sample different types of homemade cakes and other delicacies.
