WHAT YOU VISIT
- Circle Island Train Tour
Step aboard the "Last Railway in the West Indies" for a fun and unique look at this unspoiled paradise. The "Island Series" railcars of the St. Kitts Scenic Railway are unlike any other railcars anywhere in the world with an upper open-air observation platform offering unobstructed 360-degree viewing and a lower air-conditioned "parlor" featuring huge six-foot vaulted windows and charming rattan furnishings.

At La Valle Station, you'll disembark and transfer to sightseeing buses to complete your circle tour past the small villages and towns that dot the Caribbean Sea side of St. Kitts before returning to Basseterre and the cruise ship port.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
The railway skirts the volcanic slopes of Mt. Liamuiga, crosses numerous tall steel girder bridges, provides glimpses of black sand beaches and crumbling plantations, and offers up sweeping vistas of the nearby islands of Nevis, St. Barths, St. Maarten, Saba, and St. Eustatius.

SNACK
Drinks (rum punch, frozen daiquiris, soft drinks, fruit juices, and bottled water) are served throughout the trip while your guide shares his knowledge of the island with you.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Sit back and relax as you come within inches of papaya, guava, and banana trees, while backyards flutter with billowing laundry. All along the route laborers and farmers stop in their work, and school children run out of classes to greet you with smiles and waves as the train goes by.

There is no reserved seating; seating is first-come, first-served. Tour sequence may vary. All passengers have a seat on each level. Restrooms are located onboard.
