WHAT YOU VISIT

Dyea Musher's Camp
Your tour begins with an approximate 45-minute scenic drive to the dog camp. Along the way, guides fill you in on the rich history of Skagway and Dyea with a narrated tour. Over 100 years ago, these two towns were filled with over 10,000 stampeders full of gold fever. The Musher's Camp is a dogsled summer training grounds for athletes who have competed in world-renowned races like the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest. Enjoy a "Kennel Talk" where your hosts explain what it takes to be a musher, share their passion for dog sledding and happily answer your questions. Then, you'll meet the dogs!

Gold Panning
Next, you have the opportunity to pan for gold in the riverside sluice! Your guide will show you the art of gold panning and you can test your own luck. Gold is guaranteed. Afterwards, you can take a leisurely self-guided hike along a scenic trail or relax in the saloon with a deck overlooking a picturesque stream.
