Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Your half-day exploration of Gold Rush history begins with a drive through historic Skagway, which played a key role in the Klondike Gold Rush. Sense the excitement and nostalgia around every corner as you drive through the downtown historic district, where you'll see Skagway much as it looked during the 1890s. Visit the Gold Rush Cemetery for a recounting of the deeds done by the colorful characters of the city's early days and to see their final resting place.

Continue on with a scenic drive by motorcoach up the Klondike Highway, paralleling the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad and peaking at the breathtaking 3,290-foot summit. Your guide will regale you with stories of stampeders as you trace their footsteps along Brackett's Wagon Road, Pitchfork Falls and Dead Horse Gulch.

Your last destination is The Days of '98 Show, the longest running production in Alaska that truly brings Skagway's history to life. The show tells the story of Alaska's most notorious outlaw, Soapy Smith, and the wild days of the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897 and 1898.This colorful, vaudeville-style showcase has it all, from singing and dancing, ragtime music, love and rejection, and comedy and drama to an appearance by Soapy Smith himself!

Your tour concludes with a scenic drive back to the pier or, should you choose, you can remain in town and explore Skagway after the performance. Passengers remaining in town are responsible to return to the ship on their own.
