Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Your adventure starts at the White Pass Depot where your tour begins onboard a vintage railcar, a famous narrow-gauge train in operation since 1898. Enjoy the 1.75-hour ride to Frasier, with plenty of historic sights and natural wonders along the way, such as Gold Rush Cemetery, Bridal Veil Falls, Black Cross Rock and infamous Dead Horse Gulch.

Experience the beauty of the Canadian wilds at White Pass summit before disembarking at Bernard Lake where the next portion of your adventure begins. After instruction in the use of the stable, state-of-the-art, two-person kayaks, you'll paddle for approximately an hour across the pristine cold waters stampeders plied to reach the Yukon gold fields over 100 years ago.

Your naturalist guide will answer any questions you have about the gold rush. There is a potential for wildlife viewing as bears, mountain goats and caribou live amid the alpine terrain of glacier-carved Tormented Valley, where snow-capped mountains rise in all directions.

Enjoy a light snack with beverage before boarding your motorcoach back to Skagway. Your driver will provide narration of the history and scenery along the route down the Klondike Highway. Hear the tales of hardship that earlier travelers endured in their quest to reach the interior. Soak in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, waterfalls and glaciers on this 45-minute drive.
