WHAT YOU VISIT

White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad
Travel one of the steepest grades in North America by rail on the Scenic Rail of the World pulled by the historic 1947-built engine #73, the pride of the White Pass fleet. The White Pass Yukon Route Railroad is a three-foot-wide narrow gauge railroad that climbs from sea level to almost 3,000 feet in the first 20 miles. An engineering marvel, it features two tunnels and travels over sky-high trestles and bridges. The fully restored cars, pulled by vintage steam locomotive #73 will retrace the original route to the White Pass Summit, passing Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. During the narrated excursion, your guide will share Klondike Gold Rush history and describe how this railroad became an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

REFRESHMENTS

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
