An exhilarating mountain bike adventure is a thrilling way to experience Mt. Etna, the tallest European volcano and one of the most active in the world. Board a motorcoach and enjoy a scenic drive through varied landscapes to the base of this imposing natural landmark. Here, you'll meet your guide and get acquainted with your mountain bike. Don a mandatory helmet and set off along rugged trails on a two-hour route that traverses the northern side of imposing Mt. Etna. Your scenic ride provides views of the unique indigenous flora and fauna, old lava flows, and maybe even an eruption from one of the four summit craters. Pause midway through your day to refresh with a beverage and a cannoli, a traditional Italian pastry that originated in Sicily. Complete your ride, then relax on the motorcoach back to port. This experience is for confident mountain bike riders familiar with using hand breaks and navigating hilly terrain.

Special Notes:

The excursion involves biking through rugged country. Due to its adventurous nature, this excursion is not recommended for guests with back, neck or respiratory problems. Guests should be experienced mountain bike riders and be confident on a mountain bicycle. It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothes but not large trousers that could get stuck in the chains, not open shoes but sneakers or trekking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen. Helmets are provided and are mandatory.
