WHAT YOU VISIT
- Santiago
Upon arrival in the capital city, you'll embark on a narrated drive through the historic district, as your guide points out places of interest such as the Club Hipico, Chile's oldest racetrack, O'Higgins Park, the second-largest public park in Chile, and the Palacio de La Moneda, a grand reminder of Santiago's colonial heritage. Built between 1784 and 1799, it's one of Chile's finest examples of Neo-Classical architecture and was the largest building erected in any of Spain's colonies during the 18th century. Your sightseeing tour continues through Santiago's modern residential neighborhoods.

- Viña del Mar
From Santiago, you'll travel to the seaside resort of Viña Del Mar, a popular tourist spot known for its ritzy hotels, world-class restaurants, palm-lined boulevards, lush parks and beaches. Have your camera at the ready to snap a shot of the giant flower clock, a marvelous bed of flowers planted in the shape of a clock face complete with numbers made up of flowering plants. On a steep bluff stands Cerro Castillo, the summer palace of the Presidents of the Republic. You'll also pass by the President's Summer Palace, and the 87-year-old Viña del Mar Municipal Casino, one of the oldest gambling halls in South America.

- Valparaiso
Founded in 1536 by the Spanish conquistador Juan de Saavedra, Valparaiso's most memorable feature may be its crayon-colored neighborhoods that climb up hills so steep funiculars are used to traverse the dramatically graded landscape. The city consists of two completely different sections, one of them known as El Plan, referring to the lower part adjacent to the port area. The main feature is the Plaza Sotomayor, dominated by the Naval Headquarters building and the impressive monument to the Heroes of Iquique.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Rising over 2,880 feet above sea level, San Cristóbal is Santiago's highest point boasting sweeping views of the city. Among the many photogenic sights you can capture is the impressive 45-foot-tall Virgin Mary statue, considered a symbol of Santiago. Visible from a large part of the city, the statue sits atop the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, where mass is offered.

LUNCH
At the conclusion of your Santiago sightseeing tour, you'll be escorted to a local restaurant for lunch.
