What you will visit:

Boivin Cheese Factory
A family business founded in 1939, the Boivin Cheese Factory, tucked in a rural setting, is still operated by the Boivin family today. Learn the history of their family enterprise, and taste samples of what is reputed to be one of the most delectable cheese curds in Québec, as well as other cheese products. The dairy produces about 3.3 million kilograms of cheese and over 2 million kilograms of whey powder yearly.

Touverre Glassblowing Workshop
A tour of the Touverre Workshop is an opportunity to marvel at the artistry of Giuseppe Benedetto, glassmaker and sculptor. Originally from Italy, Giuseppe arrived in Quebec in 1967, where he continued his studies in arts, earning a master's degree in sculpture from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Watch as he skillfully creates beautiful decorative items that integrate glass, aluminum, bronze and steel into the final product.

Alpaga Bersi Farm
Gracious owners RĂ©jean Bergeron and Monique Simard will enthusiastically teach you about the wonderful characteristics of the alpaca and their alpaca farming adventure. You will learn about this naturally friendly animal and the process of collecting its silky hair and creating a finished product. Also known as the Gold of the Andes, this luxurious natural fiber has much to offer and is used to create light, warm, hypoallergenic and extremely soft products. An onsite shop showcases an expertly made collection of unique treasures.

What you will see along the way:
Saguenay (Sag-uh-NAY) began as a French colonial trading post. Today, it comprises three boroughs, linked with nearby Lac Saint-Jean. The Saguenay River Fjord is one of the 10 longest in the world. It is lined with towering cliffs and is home to abundant wildlife. A drive through the quaint village is an opportunity to view pretty painted houses, lush hills and ever-changing foliage. After your visit at the Touverre Glassblowing workshop, you'll leave the suburb of La Baie, first settled in 1838 and admire its rolling green hillsides as you approach the Alpaga Bersi farm.

Shopping:
A small shop on the premises of the Alpaga Bersi farm is the perfect place to pick up unique treasures, such as sweaters, scarves, hats, and mittens spun with alpaca yarn. At Touverre Glassblowing Workshop, browse through the gift shop for exceptionally beautiful mementos.
