The extraordinary landscape of Saguenay and its environs are shared with many man-made attractions. Experience it all with this comprehensive 3.5-hour tour of Saguenay's surroundings.

Your adventure begins as you leave the pier for a scenic drive through the tiny hamlet of La Baie. Sitting at the confluence of the Ha! Ha! and Mars Rivers, La Baie was first settled in 1838. Today, its rolling green hillsides and fresh air stand in stark contrast to the ice-blue Saguenay Fjord. Formed millions of years ago, the fjord is Quebec's largest and the most southerly fjord in the northern hemisphere. Over 880 deep in some places and 65 miles long, the fjord is home to 54 species of fish and marine mammal, including the Greenland shark and the beluga. Discover these facts and more at the Fjord Museum, an interactive museum that details the fjord's history and geology.

Back onboard, be sure to have your cameras ready as you pass by a 70-foot tall pyramid. Despite its unique look and odd name, the Ha! Ha! Pyramid was constructed to commemorate the devastating and deadly 1996 Saguenay River flood. Constructed with 3,000 reflecting aluminum "yield" signs the pyramid is a popular venue for concerts during the summer.

Then, you'll reboard your vehicle and continue on to the Little White House for the next photo stop from the bus .Next you continue to the Pulp Mill of Chicoutimi, Listed on the Canadian Register as a National Historic Site, the mill is located along the Chicoutimi River. Constructed between 1898 and 1923, and closed over 80 years ago, the spacious stone buildings still stand as a testament to a by-gone era when pulp was king.

Witness the unique artwork of Arthur Villeneuve, whose house was his canvas. Located inside the Pulp Mill of Chicoutimi, take in the unusual frescoes depicting regional history, local geography, and illustrations inside and out of his family home has earned this work of art a Cultural Heritage designation.

Your final stop of the day is a visit to the Le Chevrier du Nord goat farm. Watch how silky and lustrous, goat mohair is processed from raw wool to hand-made fabric using traditional production methods such as knitting, weaving, felting, and dyeing.

At the end of your visit, you'll return to port with a camera filled with memories of your lovely and informative day to be shared with family and friends.
