Calling all young people (and the parents they're supervising for the day) for this fantastic, educational and, above all, uber-fun introduction to the big, bad city of Rome.　
Meet up with your guide in the city. She has gone to some considerable effort to time-travel all the way from the days of the mighty Roman Empire to acquaint you with Italy's capital city, its landmarks, and its most famous citizens -- both living and late.
A panoramic coach ride takes you past the Pyramid of Cestius Caius and Circus Maximus. Step off the coach near the Arch of Constantine for a brief outside look at the mighty Colosseum. Kids will enjoy some games at the Flavian amphitheatre before it's all aboard again. You'll head to Piazza del Campidoglio, located atop Capitoline Hill. During a brief stop at Terrazza Caffarelli, there's a chance to take a memorable photos of the sensational views over the Roman Forum. A short performance by the character of Rea Silvia, played by your actor-guide, makes sense of the complex history of Ancient Rome. Learn how this amazing city was built -- albeit not in a day -- back when the Consuls ruled and the Empire expanded at breakneck speed.
Continue by coach to the starting point of a great walking tour. Set out from Lungotevere Zanardelli, close to Piazza Navona. Along the way you will have catch a glimpse of several Rome highlights -- Tiber Island, St Peter's Basilica and Sant' Angelo Castle. At Piazza Navona, a costume change for your guide signals a switch to Baroque Rome. All the kids will be involved in an　interactive theatrical performance with the character of Donna Olimpia, again played by your talented guide. Some fun games bring to life the mystery and intrigue of the ancient and secret history of the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers in the middle of the square, built by sculptor Bernini. Captivating stories and legends fire the imagination before you step inside the Pantheon.
Discover the colorful, bustling market at Piazza Campo de Fiori -- the perfect place to return to modern Rome. A third character played by your guide -- a village woman -- appears and introduces your family to the contemporary lifestyle of the locals. To ensure complete cultural immersion, she offers a typical local snack that is devoured with gusto by Italian kids and by yours -- the famous, crispy, totally delicious Roman pizza.
Your family will have one hour of free time before meeting at the coach to hit the road back to the port at Civitavecchia.
