Lake Bracciano Boat Ride
Nestled in the Etruscan countryside, crystal-clear Lake Bracciano, one of Italy's major lakes, is a significant source of drinking water for the Eternal City. A volcanic crater lake, Bracciano is also a popular scenic spot with Romans as well as a famous wedding destination. Actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married at the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a magnificent feudal castle that stands outside Bracciano town. Take in the sights of this charming medieval enclave from your boat deck.

Trevignano Romano
A lovely waterfront greets you as you arrive at the small fishing village of Trevignano Romano. Stroll independently along the tree-lined promenade lined with pastry and gelato shops as well as outdoor cafes and boutiques. Soak up the atmosphere that dates back to antiquity in the town's medieval core, which showcases the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and its antique fresco dating to 1517.
Local winery
The Tuscan wine country is the source of some of Rome's most popular wines. Visit a local wine estate and sample the vintages. The Etruscan countryside is also renowned for its olive oils, cheeses and cured meats, and you'll enjoy a selection of treats with your tasting. Wine is available for purchase.
What you will see along the way:
From Civitavecchia, you'll travel north through the countryside that was once covered in vineyards and olive groves. This was the home of the Etruscans. This mighty civilization of seafarers, merchants and farmers populated this region about 5,000 years ago and was eventually folded into Roman expansion.
