Board your air-conditioned transportation for a lovely non-narrated scenic drive to Gumbalimba Preservation Park. Upon arrival at this incredible property, meet your guide and embark on a tour of the beautiful, expansive grounds. The park's offerings are quite diverse, but your guide will highlight some of the most popular and beloved attractions. Visit a uniquely designed bird sanctuary where free-flying parrots and macaws come down from the trees to say hello. You won't want to miss a photo opportunity with one of these colorful birds sitting on your arm.

The animal interactions continue at the Monkey Refuge, home to a playful group of whiteface monkeys. Comfortable with humans, these friendly primates are willing and eager for you to hold and play with them, but beware; these mischievous monkeys love to steal sunglasses!

Arrgh, mateys! An attraction that's sure to please is the wonderful re-creation of Coxen's Cave, home to Captain John Coxen and his stolen treasure. Explore the history of the real pirates of the Caribbean and view maps and weapons as well as murals depicting the history of Honduras as you walk through this dynamic display.

For a change of pace, meander through the park's Botanical Gardens. Walk along the pathways and discover peaceful waterfalls, brightly colored blossoms and an abundance of flora and fauna indigenous to the area. There are over 200 species of plants throughout the reserve and your guide will enlighten you about their origins. Not to be missed is the cactus garden, populated with the prickly plants that give way to spectacular blooms. You'll also encounter the charming hummingbird garden that delights all who enter and see the agile little birds up close.

At the completion of your guided walk, re-board your transportation for a short drive to pristine Tabyana Beach, one of the most beautiful areas in Roatan. Upon arrival, a brief orientation will be provided and you will receive a complimentary lounge chair or sand mat. The day is yours to spend how you wish. The crystalline water is perfect for swimming and the beach offers a long stretch of sugar sand, inviting you to take a stroll. The area has a number of amenities including restroom facilities and fresh water showers. There is also a small sundries shop with souvenirs.

Work up an appetite with an invigorating game of beach volleyball then enjoy a delicious buffet style lunch. Barbeque chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs are served with island style fixings and tropical fruit. Iced tea and lemonade are available throughout the day. After your day of fun in the sun, hop onboard the transportation for a lovely drive back to port.

Special Notes:

Tour sequence may vary. Bring a towel and adequate sun protection. Freshwater showers with changing/restroom facilities, cash bar and gift shop are available at the beach. At Gumbalimba Park, no food, liquids, or bags will be allowed around the animal areas. There are lockers for rent. Please protect your sunglasses and other personal items while interacting with the monkeys. There is no flash photography or smoking near the animals. Please refrain to wear fruit or flowery lotions or perfumes. All precautions are for your safety and that of the animals. Snorkel equipment available for an additional $15. The return time varies. The last bus will leave the beach one hour before all aboard time.
