Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Board your comfortable transportation for a short scenic drive to the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences at Anthony's Key Resort. The facility offers recreational and educational dolphin programs that are appropriate for all ages. Uniquely designed, the dolphin dive affords participants the incredible opportunity to interact with the dolphins on the mammal's own initiative and natural curiosity. What a wonderful way to meet these playful, charming mammals of the sea.
From the Anthony's Key dock, you will be taken to beautiful Bailey's Key for a beach-side orientation, question-and-answer session, and an etiquette lesson on how to scuba dive with an Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin family.
A five-minute boat ride will take you to a spectacular reef wall where you'll descend to a white-sand bottom at a depth of 60 feet. During an unstructured dive, you'll interact and Scuba dive with two or three curious and friendly dolphins. You'll sense the complexities of the dolphins' relationships and during your dive you'll have ample opportunity to observe, communicate and photograph these marvelous creatures. To spend time with them in the open ocean is truly a thrill.
A guide and a dolphin behaviorist will accompany your small, intimate dive group. A videographer will capture the excursion and the video will be available to purchase. If time permits, you may enjoy independent exploration of the Roatan Institute Marine Museum and peruse the resort's well-stocked souvenir store for mementos.
Special Notes:
All participants must demonstrate that they can clear a fully flooded mask before departure. Certified divers must present their Open Water certification card and have been diving within the last two years to participate. A medical questionnaire will be reviewed by the tour operator and acceptance to participate will depend on the information provided. To avoid possible disappointment, we recommend medical requirements for diving be reviewed in advance and any possible medical issues cleared by your personal physician in writing. A sample of medical questionnaires can be found through the major Dive Association websites of PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) and NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors). Certain medical conditions may prevent your participation.Details
