Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Board your comfortable transportation for a short drive to Anthony's Key Resort. Here you will meet your guides and be issued your equipment. Your certification card will be checked and paperwork will be completed. Anthony's Key Resort is a PADI Gold Palm 5-Star Instructor Development Center. It is an exceptional facility that has been a leader in the diving industry for more than 40 years. Anthony's Key is ranked as one of the top dive resorts in the world and boasts excellent amenities and staff that proudly offer a fleet of modern, custom-built dive boats to enhance your enjoyment.
Of all the islands in the Caribbean, Roatan offers some of the most distinct and easily accessible dive sites. The crystalline waters make for exceptional visibility and the average temperature is 80 degrees or higher. Visibility ranges from 50 to 100 feet and the marine life and corals are spectacular. Squadrons of eagle rays, schools of brightly colored tropical fish, the occasional meandering shark and eel gardens are just a few of the creatures that delight divers.
At the completion of your first dive, a suitable surface interval will be observed. You will then cruise to a new area to begin your second dive. No matter where you go in Roatan, the diving is excellent and you are sure to find both expeditions rewarding and beautiful. At the end of your day, bid good-bye to your captain and guides and re-board your transportation for the return to the ship.
Special Notes:
All participants must demonstrate that they can clear a fully flooded mask before departure. Certified divers must present their Open Water certification card and have been diving within the last two years to participate. A medical questionnaire will be reviewed by the tour operator and acceptance to participate will depend on the information provided. To avoid possible disappointment, we recommend medical requirements for diving be reviewed in advance and any possible medical issues cleared by your personal physician in writing. A sample of medical questionnaires can be found through the major Dive Association websites of PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) and NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors). Certain medical conditions may prevent your participation. Possible dive sites include Overheat Reef, Pillar Coral, Deep Eel Garden, Wayne's Place, and others on the northwest side of the island.Details
